Repost of Request for helmet help!

Hello,
Hello,

This is a repost of a message I put into the "General Autocross" folder. I realized very few experienced people read that folder, so I thought I might get a better response if I asked the SNAX crew!

REPOST:
I'm trying to find a fairly inexpensive, open face helmet for my wife to use. She's never autocrossed, but is very interested, but doesn't have a helmet. She's a very petite Chinese woman and she's swimming in my "Adult Small" helmet. Any recommendations on where I can get a child's sized helmet?

Also, I drove up to Burbank to find a place that stocked more than one brand of helmet so that I could try on several before I bought one. That was the closest store I could find from Irvine, CA. My wife isn't interested in taking a day off of work so she can drive to Burbank to try on helmets, so does anyone know of a store a bit closer to Orange / San Diego County where she can try several models on?

Thanks for your help!

Collin Webster

You can try the bell wearhouse/store in costa mesa. For the longest time they had $30 open face M2000 helmets. I bought 10 of them as loaners. If nothing else, I would think the wearhouse is where you'll find XS sizes.

Thanks for that recommendation. I had seen that site in the past and moved on becuase I was looking for a store that carried more than one brand. How I missed it in my searches last week I don't know but a quick Google of "Bell Helmets Costa Mesa" brought up the site for the store you're referring to.

Thanks!

Went over to the Bell Helmet distributor in Costa Mesa today. We picked up a nice black Pyrotect open face helmet that fit the little lady for $160 out the door. I'm excited that I can finally involve her in this addictive crazyness! Thanks for the recommendations.
