can anyone shed some light on this. i can't seem to find the requirements for this class.

Its a regional class (won't find it in the SCCA rule book). San Diego copied the concept from LA.

SK follows SCCA stock rules with the additional restriction of 'street' tires, 140+ treadwear. Several base classes are handicaped by pax together. So CS, DS, ES, GS and HS cars handicap together to make SK2 and SS, AS, BS and FS make SK1.
