Meeting was held on Randy's birthday at the C2 Motorsports location.

Various committees were absent so the meeting was a little shorter than normal (though not without controversy). :)

No new news on equipment. Trailer is in work and is scheduled to be completed in late March.

Need a new sound chairperson. Rumor has it that we have someone that is volunteering to step up. Without this person, each event chair takes on the duties of Sound Chair for the event.

The December novice school went pretty well for the most part. A lot of attendance at the Saturday chalk talk. Some discussion was held about making the event run better for the next time, including more limits on instructor runs so that students could get more runs in.

Next event is SCAT January 28-29. Flyers to be done very soon. Short discsussion about run order and also safety steward assignment.

Course Design Clinic is still being looked into, but nothing definite at this time. Scheduling is a problem here trying to find an open date for everyone to attend (includes LA, SD, and Roger Johnson).

Need to hand input the last TART event which was not done on the computer so that year end points can be calculated and annual trophies determined for the banquet. Should be completed by this weekend per Steve and Matt.

No new information on the banquet. We hope to have flyers for the banquet soon.

SCCA National Tour discussion. EVO school wants to run on the Southeast lot on Friday March 3rd. Will need to borrow ~100 cones and they will supply their own timing equipment. EVO will arrange SCCA sanctioning with SCCA. Chiefs have been assigned and course designers picked for the Tour.

Discussion was held about how to handle the practice course better as far as grid and workers. A proposal was submitted by SDAD to consider having SDAD run the practice event and supply workers for a nominal fee. This proposal was tentatively approved and SDAD is going to discuss how they want to proceed. We discussed also how to manage grid better so that it would be more fair to entrants.

Also discussed opening tech earlier so that tech handles cars that run the practice.

Divisional was discussed. July 1-2. Los Angeles will have a date and we have a date and we hope that Las Vegas joins in also. At this moment, Arizona has lost their site and things look positive for them regaining the use of AMS, but until then, they can't be considered as part of the divisional series.

New business- Discussion about accepting advertising from sponsors and vendors. To be further discussed.

I intentionally left off the part about the nude mud wrestling vendor contest, and about how we all got together and sang Kumbaya, hand in hand, in a circle.

Okay, the only true part of the above is that we were in a circle and I will leave it at that.

Too bad you weren't at the Auto Show yesterday morning to hear Jay Leno's "Brokeback Mountain" Log Cabin Republicans joke. :p
