Hello all,
I have an '04 Accord V6 auto I've been thinking of autocrossing, does anyone cross an auto? The car is stock.
Thanks,
Chris

cool, I guess there is probably a trick to it. Maybe driving in D2?I would guess just going in drive would put you in the wrong gear most of the time. I'll have to come check out the practice day in January, is that the next time anything is going one?
Thanks,
Chris

Yup. D2 is about the best you can do. That's what I do. Disable traction/stability control too, if your car has it.

The event on Dec 9 was our last for the year. You're looking at the 2006 schedule. The 2007 schedule hasn't been decided/posted yet. Keep an eye on that schedule page to find out when our first event is going to be.

A championship event is actually easier to get into and get help during, as a novice. Don't aim specifically for a practice. Practices are limited. Championships are open.

I race my '81 vette with an auto. I just leave it in 2 and let it do the downshifting for me, when needed. So don't worry about racing with an auto.

Sounds good, I really think I'll give it a try when the new season starts. Any idea when that is?

Next year. :)

It's a slow process. I think the draw for dates for the first half of the year has occurred, but I'm not sure. Then our committee has to decide which dates are champ or practice events, then at the next committee meeting the dates are divided among our 5 clubs. I'm guessing that'll happen the first or second week of January (can't remember which day the committee meetings normally happen on, and what the holiday rule is, as I don't usually attend). Keep an eye on these forums and on the main scheduling page, and you'll know as soon as anybody else does.
