Anyone heard of this corporation/company? Reason I ask is because the car that hit me on my motorcycle on the 20th (couple of weeks ago) is registered to them. The driver only has a 15/30 policy and is 68 years old. *grumble* Barely enough liability to pay for my hospital bills I bet. Apparently they've been an active corporation or company in California since 1936, but I've never heard of them and can't find any real information on them on the internet.

Your own ins. will pay if you had the "underinsured" provision on your policy & it should not count "against you". Call them & ask.
I had a similar issue when I got rear ended by a POS pickup a couple of years ago. My ins paid for medical & prop damage above what his stupid minimum limits were.
This should be a wake up to any socal drivers - get the un insured & under insured extras on YOUR policy. It's pretty cheap & worth it IMHO.:D

Not to get on the "border security" issue, but I've heard too many stories of people getting in accidents with non-US citizens who did not have (and possibly couldn't afford) insurance.
Whether it's a young adult who is stretched on his budget and cutting corners, or it's someone trying to make ends meet, they are out there and you don't want to find yourself short changed in the end.

For $10 Dun & Bradstreet will provide basic info on the company. For more money, they sell more info, up to $140 for a full report. Hoovers didn't have anything and the Calif. Dept. of Corporations site look even more bureaucratic than the DMV.

Based on the ads I hear on the radio, I'd guess they are a multi-level marketing company that provides health and nutrition products through independent businesses. Found this web site http://billgoins.net/index.html. Claims to have been in business for 20 years, though I've never heard of them or their products and there is no real info about the company.

Feel free to spend huge amounts of time/$$$ trying to go get the sob's but in the end if you work it thru your ins. company & focus on getting well you'll be better off.
Either they will have lawyers to stone wall you or layers of corporations to hide behind.
You coming to Sunday event?

If you are able to leave it to your uninsured motorist coverage, then your insurance company will be chucking legal stones over at them. :D
That's maybe part of why the uninsured motorist coverage is so cheap. They pay you off, then get to unleash the hounds (aka lawyers) after the other guy.

Unfortunately didn't have uninsured coverage on my motorcycle. :( It was too pricey for me when I bought the policy because I was strapped for cash and the whole point of the bike was to save money. I've got a 100/300/100 full coverage policy on my Corvette, but they don't insure motorcycles, if they did I woulda had it insured with them. :(
I've already got an attorney working on it, but I just wanted to see if anyone else might know anything about this supposed company.
Only gotten a couple of bills from the accident so far. One for the ambulance trip for $900 and one from the radiology diagnosis for $1679. Luckily my motorcycle was inexpensive and I'd imagine it'll be fully paid for by them. Least I won't have a loan or insurance to pay for on that any more. If y'all wanna see pics of my motorcycle I've got em, let me know. I also have a copy of the police report. ;) I've talked to a few of the witnesses now, too, apparently they're all amazed that I survived the hit.
That site www.americanwellness.net seems to be based in Kentucky and we're not sure if there's any real relation between the two.
On a side note, now that the bike is gone, I needa figure out something decently cheap to become a daily driver... If the company turns out to be legit and has $$$ I'll get a nice new Pontiac or Saturn. If I get gipped and am lucky to walk way with any money in my pocket I'll probably either get a used Caddy Deville or a C4. Both can be acquired cheaply and both are very inexpensive to insure. :D
Edit: Shortly after posting this I found some SWEET information! Apparently the a-hole that hit me is an inventor that has a patent on scientific wellness. If you're curious you can PM me and I'll send you a link.
