Hello everyone
As you may know, we have an off road racing series here in San Diego. It is the CORR series. Otherwise known as Championship Off Road Racing.
As the official starter of the CORR Series , I am helping to locate volunteers to assist in corner worker positions. We will need close to 20 or so volunteers to help.
Next race is October 21-22 2006
What is in it for you? A great trackside view of the races, lunches, FREE tickets for your family or friends, and pride in the job you will be doing. The positions are mainly for corner workers. Your job will be to carry a yellow flag and possibly a radio to communicate with race officials. You will be working a section of the track alerting racers of caution areas. You get the idea.
I have been involved with CORR since their first race in San Diego last fall. As a past race corner worker, I can tell you it is very cool to see these trucks and buggies up close during the days events. So...Real fast, the times and duties.
Times you are needed: Thursday evening Oct 19th for a brief worker meeting and credential handout. Friday afternoon if you can make it to flag(not mandatory). Saturday and Sunday roughly 8:30am till about 5pm.
Duties: Corner workers/track crew
