The power steering took a dump on my Vette @ the cscc event last weekend.
I am thinking of renting something for the school, rear wheel drive, horsepower. Suggestions, where to rent from?
:)
Or does anyone need their car exercised?

I don't know of any specific places to rent from, but they seem to always advertise Mustang convertables (probably v6, auto). I mean, it's no vette but it's an S.E.C. (Somebody Else's Car; and you don't even have to face him after).

Two options.....
A BMW Z3 from R-A-V(affordable?) or let a waiting list person in.
Also, my car will be there. Bring tyres...
Hertz has Jaguar S-types for about $120/day.
Of course, no rental car insurance covers timed events, so if anything goes wrong you'll've bought yourself a $50,000 car!

It's a school, not a timed event. ;)

Alas, they also prohibit use for driver's training.
Seriously, what I'd be worried about is somebody plowing into the car while it's parked in front of the house. That would send the insurance company searching for any reason to deny the claim, and if they somehow found out that you'd violated the rental agreement at any time, even if it had nothing to do with the accident, I'm afraid you'd be on your own...
Don't let that stop you from checking out these guys, though:

You could get a Lotus Elise for $350/day, or a Ford GT for mere $1,500 :D

You can get a lotus for less than a GT? Doesn't the lotus cost more?

Why not just fix it... Need any help? Need a new rack or just a pump? I used up two wheel bearings and a ball joint last autox.. that was expensive.

Base price for a Ford GT is about $150,000. Isn't the Lotus less than $40,000?

Oh, that GT. I thought you meant some other GT. :D
Actually, for some stupid reason I thought "Ford Mustang GT."

Thanks for the offer.
:)
After checking those prices, maybe a Mustang GT. How much for a day in those?

Maybe something else was wrong. We seldom change bearings in less than about two seasons of hard use; then it's usually the fronts. If, for instance, the LR wheel was loose.....;) Larry didn't need no stinkin' new wheel bearings...
