I heard that Qualcomm are giving us a harder time about bookings than usual, hence all these clash dates with Fontana, and nothing up on the SD calendar for the rest of the year - true?
I'm trying to plan the rest of the season and it's difficult to decide which to go for, since I run in both LA and SD. My loyalties lie with the Vee group down in SD but if there's only last minute bookings down in SD (coupled with online/advance payment bookings for Fontana), life becomes harder than it need be...
Any light in sight?

Not really true. Mostly not true.
There are less dates available in the second half of 2006. There are ALWAYS less dates available in the second half of the year, since the major tenants actually use the stadium then (Chargers and Aztecs). This year, the pickings were even slimmer.
We never formally post the dates for the next 6 months (it is done in 6 month increments) until the e-board meets, the clubs vote and we "calendar" the 6 months... assign championship and practice dates, schools, etc. Then clubs get a chance to take on the dates using a draw system. THEN we post the dates.
Since we do not have the ability of telling the stadium to only give us dates that do not conflict with LA, there will be some conflicts. I can tell you that the people involved in selecting the dates do try hard to get the best dates they can, but it involves a lot of arm wrestling and bartering with the other clubs that use the lot.
And FWIW, it does not look like we have a lot of clash dates with Fontana either. You do not need to advance book or pay for a championship event at Fontana. You should preregister for the winter dates as they do limit those.

What online/advance payment bookings at Fontana are you talking about? There's nothing like that for Cal Club Solo. BMW and Porsche clubs do that, but don't always run at Fontana.
