I have installed a PDR100 recorder in my Elise and it is always recording when I drive. I get some interesting stuff... like almost getting backed into at the UCSD parking structure last week.
Just took a short trip up north on I-15 this last Friday.
Stop and go traffic around 4:45pm. High Occupancy Vehicle lanes to me left on the other side of the K-Rails. They are also coming to the stop as they will be merging back into the freeway. Everyone that drives this knows this, except I guess this one guy.
9 megs.

I think everyone was okay mostly. Airbags were blown. Cars look totalled. Car in front also hit the tow truck in front of them.

Downloaded it, but Quicktime doesn't like the file.

It is MPEG 2 and Quicktime does not like it. Play it with Media Player Classic, VLC, or whatever you use to play DVDs.

It was nice of them to crash, just as your radio was between songs!!!!

That was incredibly fortunate! I had just pressed the FORWARD button on my MP3 player to go to the next song.

WPM says I need a special codec to view. Do you know what codec you used?
Downloaded VLC & it worked fine. I have been rear ended b4 but that's REAR ENDED.
There was a wreck on the 3rd to last lap at Mid Ohio Rolex endurance race I just finished watching on dvr where a GT BMW launched off a berm & endo'd at least 6 times. Racer was ok. Don't like to think how it would have been in a stock car at a track day. Ouch.
tehee, my linux box had no problems playing it, yet the established os' with all the codecs available first hand (as opposed to hacked) are having trouble :D

That totally sucks. That guy should've been paying more attention. Good to know everyone was okay, especially if that one car hit the tow truck in front of him... wow, what an insane impact.
On a totally unrelated note, I've never ridden in an elise and with your cam staring right above the accord's bumper, that thing must be insanely low. That's so cool.

VLS worked right off. Quicktime requires a $20 component to play mpeg2.
And your hacked Linux system is big advantage over the others.:D
Wait a minute... The PDRs are out?!?

I sold out the first run. I am making 1000 more for July.
Then.. I will start marketing.
Cool. I'd be interested in picking one up along with a camera. Keep us posted.
