Hi all
Can you believe, it's been 2 years-6 months since we lost our home in the Cedar fires. As an update, hopefully, by next week, we'll have temporary occupancy permission to move into our new home.

There is still lots more work to do before we'll be able to get what's called our final approval. Jerry's been able to replace some of the tools burnt in the fire.

We appreciate all of your well wishes, it's been a long road. Also, to those angels who donated monies, it too was very much appreciated.

Currently, we need some help with the rest of the reconstruction during the next 4 weeks, namely:
1-any know a carpet layer? moving company? or large truck to help move furniture, etc? 2-next, we'll be rebuilding the garage & need help with any part-ie sources for concrete, trusses, wood, roofing material, all other components.

For those willing to donate your free labor-we'll provide lunch, water, etc. Construction knowledge helpful, not necessary. Willingness to use a hammer all that's necessary. Music by radio.

So, if you can or know of anyone who'd be willing to help, email me at bodaciousjudy@cox.net or call 619-579-2553.

Once the house is done, we'll be able to return to autocrossing.

My mantra when I talk to people these days is, look at your home insurance policy, find out what it would cost to replace your home at today's construction costs, compare that to your coverage A-Home part of your policy, if it's more that coverage A-guess what? you're underinsured...now's the time to get yourself protected.

At least 80% of those who lost homes in the fire were underinsured & didn't even know it...

To you all, be good to yourselves, family & friends, thanx Judy Becker (SCAT)
