For those of us who weren't alive in 1974, what is a Jensen Healey?

(not a potential buyer, so you can ignore this if you want)

It's a roadster, ie, 2 seat, open car, Lotus roots.

Art Rinner's brother, Russ, has one.

It was cross between the Jensen Interceptor and an Austin Healey. SI?

Sort of. David Healey was involved.

The biggest problem the car had was the timing. Gas prices going up, labor costs in the UK and the poor financial condition of nearly all British carmakers. Add in competing against the Datsun Z car, and the Jensen's demise was pretty much assured.

Wasn't the Jensen Interceptor powered by a Mopar 383 with a 727 Torqueflite?

The Intereceptor had a V8 but the Jensen Healy had the Lotus I-4.

Yes, and by 1973 it had the 440.

:D

With a 6-pack optional.

A lot more interesting than the Triumph Stag.

Hmmm, does the block say Lotus or Ford?

Either way, SM2 with a V8 might be interesting...

According to what I read it was a Lotus design. Don't recall what the block on Russ Rinner's car says.
