Due to my job I need to get my car up to Chicago and I don't have time to go ahead and do the 30hr drive myself so I'm thinking about having it shipped. I realize it's going to be more expensive than driving it, but I can't afford to take the chance of getting nailed by some farmer in the middle of idaho and with gas and room rates the way they are I'm still going to be out a bunch of money. It's worth a little more for my car to get there in one peice and the savings in my time and airfares.
So does anyone have any experience with having cars shipped and reccomend a good company? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Second hand information here, but a guy at work who transports his car a lot swears by Interstate, which, it turns out, is a lousy company name for Googling.

Yep, that would be me. Although now I'm in the process of moving up to Chicago for work this year and haven't been back to SD since december. I may be back on the west coast next year depending on what Phd program I get into.

We had a 1999 Miata 10th Anniv Edit Sent to Hawaii for display last June for the 2006 debut of the new Miata. The car was picked up by Intercity Lines before being taken to Long Beach. Great company!!!!! Of course Mazda picked up the tab so I cant tell you the cost.

We've used Reliable for years to transport a great majority of our cars.:)
