Hey guys, just wanted to know what the minimum treadwear was in this class. I know they have to be DOT approved. I just want to know if I could get a set of RA1's since they're DOT.
Thanks:)

Street Touring requires a treadwear rating of 140. There is atleast one tire that supposedly has it, but is on a banned list. Check the SCCA autox rules (just look at STX rules since I don't think they have STU there, they are mostly the same).

RA1s are R-compound tires, which aren't legal in any ST class.
The excluded tire is the Pirelli P Zero Corsa.

This is what I found:
14.3 TIRES
Tires must meet the eligibility requirements of the Stock category (excluding
13.3.F), with the following additional restrictions:
A. Tires may have widths up to and including 225.
B. Tires must have a minimum tread wear rating of 140.
C. Tire models must not appear on the following list, which may be
altered at any time by the SEB upon notification of the membership.
Pirelli P Zero Corsa
The tire width doesn't seem right though...I've seen cars with wider tires than that.
Can anybody clarify?
Thanks,

You're quoting the STS rules. At the end of them is STX and STU, where they outline the additional allowances.
AWDs in STU are limited to 245 in width.
