Hey Ron, my friend Isabel gave you a call today about the novice school. She sent the letter a day after me so I don't know why it hasn't gotten to you yet. I just wanted to ask since it says you aren't taking any more on the wait-list if I should tell her to go to the practice event the week before instead. Thanks!

Hi guys, I'm suppose to be there this Sat/Sun, but had a question. I've noticed occasional smoking in my engine bay recently and finally traced it to a slight leak in one of my valve cover gaskets. It's very slight, so I never have oil on the ground (not enough to drip off) and oil consumption is very minimum between oil changes. I don't think I'll have this gasket replaced in time for the class. Would I be advised not to run on the track (in case pushing the car makes the condition worse and possibly spill some oil on the track?)? I don't want to ruin the fun of everyone else if this is a possibility. I don't think gaskets will just start spewing out oil from being pushed but I'm not a mechanic either. :)

If its just from the valve cover gasket and its slight, no worries.

So I pushed the car a bit just to see and it looks like under full boost, the leak gets bad enough to smoke quite a bit. So sad but I think it's better if I get this fixed before doing any track events. I know there are people on a waiting list though so maybe someone can take my place? Who do I need to contact to cancel?

Who do I need to contact to cancel?
chapmanr, who has been monitoring this thread, is the one that needs to know, so you are probably already covered.
But by checking the flyer, it says
Questions?: Call Ron at 760-803-5172
... just give him a call to be sure.

Ok, so a message here, text'd Ron in the morning, and called and left VM as well. Hopefully that was enough. :)
