Have not had opportunity to get a roll bar installed in my new 1999 Miata. Work always gets in the way of my fun.
3.3.2 of the 2010 rules seems to say a roll bar (although recommend) is not required for CS solo2.
I will be at my first practice next Saturday and hopefully survive the experience to run Sunday.
The reason I ask is a good friend's kid (18yo) told him he was turned away from an SCCA event in his 94 Miata with DOT tires for not having a roll bar. I cannot confirm this story or what event it was and not sure what class he tried to inter his car in.
You guys don't have some local addendum to the SCCA rules about roll bars do you?
Running out of time but I could probably get one installed by Saturday if need be.
