New to SCCA

Hey everyone

i've never been to an autocross event and really want togo to the one on july 24th but I have a few questions.

what is ment on the flyer when it saids to choose your 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th choice of group?

how do you reserve a spot if you don't have a membership?

what all must you bring?

and anything elce I should know before I go?

July 24th is a practice and you must pre-register. There are a limited number of spaces.

July 25th is a championship, and you do not pre-register. Just show up.

The 24th is a practice event. There are 4 run group running that day A & B in the morning and C & D in the afternoon. Send in your payment as stated in the flyer and rank your preference in which of the four run groups your practice time will take place. There will later be a post here telling you where you ended up so you know when you will be running and working as stated in the top of the flyer.

You can leave the solo card # blank for now and when you arrive in the morning on the 24th you will be directed to Warren who will be somewhere close to the registration table.. He will get you hooked up with SCCA and regional solo registration stuff for a nominal fee (bring some money).

As far as other things to bring..
a car in good running order
closed toed shoes
helmet Snell rated 1995 and newer (you can borrow helmets at the event)
driver's license
sun block
hat
water
lunch - sometimes a lunch truck is there on site but most practices seem to miss out

Hey Guys,

Do I need to reg anything before the event coming up in SD the 29th or just show up with the above things as well and get a daily card and temp scca lisc along with the fee. I wasn't sure since the PP was about practice vs championship. I also read to bring gas and I take it that just means don't run out.
