Recommendations? I need a clutch replaced on the MR2 this week and I can't spare the time to do the work myself.

Not exactly local for you... But we had Hiros do the clutch/flywheel in our road race car. Very quick, and a very fair price.

I always go to Brad's Foreign and Domestic in Encinitas. I've never taken anything their way they couldn't take care of.

Randy,
Can't say enough good about Koji and his shop, Hiro's. One of the very few that I will let touch my car. His shop's very near the 55 and 405 - and even though we all know you are really Mexican, I'll take you out to the Japanese shopping center over on the next block from his shop for some great Dim Sum tacos...

I have heard other people say good things about Hiro's.
Could he do an aftermarket LSD on my FWD Integra? I need someone I can trust beyond all doubt. Someone who has done more than a few aftermarket LSD's.

Hey Warren,
Yes, he's done aftermarket diffs. He did my OS Giken.
Koji, BTW, was a CalClub CSP driver for awhile.

I'm scared Bill.
Pulling the tranny on a FWD to put in a LSD (I have flashbacks whenever I write that Bill, do you?) is a task.
I need someone I can trust.

Hiros sounds like a good choice. But for me, it has to be done by Friday and I can't take any time to tow the car anywhere. So it has to also be local.
I think we found a good place in Poway. I will report how it goes. The car is there now.

Argh... turns out we destroyed the pressure plate. Having one overnighted to Poway.
Being fixed by Saturday is starting to look doubtful.

No Jayson.
The rules state that once they find a violation, they stop looking. That tranny is taken apart. They would have long since stopped.
