Who has experience with their events? Can you two-driver a car without losing any runs? What is the format like compared to SCCA events?

In BMW autocross you get 2 practice sessions of four laps in one of four run groups, then one final timed session run in classes. Two driver cars get the same number of laps as one driver cars. Overall, I like their autocross', as you get plenty of runs and they have a ton of instructors.

I wont repeat the above but I will add to it a bit.
The grid can get a little confusing for someone that usually autox's with SCCA because its a bit of a free for all and someone will with out a doubt bug you about wetting your tires or pulling off grid for a period of time.
You might also like to know that they will make you corner work twice during the day unless they have changed their line up from last year.
There are quite a bit of BMWs that show up, so if you dont bring a BMW you have to arrive early and get in as an X car. Years ago, they would turn away X cars if over 100 BMWs showed up, but im not sure if they still do that.
The people are very nice and a lot of fun to autox with, and lunch is always provided which I really like.
So, show up with an open mind and have fun!

oh yeah... they always insist that the instructor drives your car the first lap of the first practice session. just so you know... you can usually get away from that if you sneak into grid early on that first session.
Im an instructor with them and some people are very nervous about having someone drive their cars.
Is every driver required to have an instructor or just first time drivers or ???

There are no course walks so the instructor drives your car on the first lap to show you the course.
Then he/she rides with you for 2 or 3 laps & gives instruction.
Optional on 2nd set of 4 runs & obviously not done during timed runs later in the day.
Timing is usually not set up until timed runs.
Exceptions to the above may be allowed by Head of Instructors on a case by case basis.

Everybody has to have an instructor on their first run. This included our own multinational champion Leslie at the first event I went to. I have had the same guy twice- a really good instructor. In fact, I asked him to do a couple of extra runs in the car so I could look at a couple of things he did differently.
They have some really excellent instructors and there is always something you can pick up from another driver. They have a much more formal process for designating instructors than we do.
