Great to see that you finally made it out. Try to get an instructor run next time. Even two if you feel you need them.

My bet is at least one of your DNF's was at the wall right before the hill. Many first timers went to the right.

One thing about the host club is we want everyone to have fun. If a person DNF's more than once, it's not fun. Having a person drive your car a couple times to be sure you are familiar with the course is not big deal, and has little impact on the event.

I don't even try anymore. Ken M. (DCCSD) once told me to try it with my eyes closed and it was better.

My first event early last summer i DNF'd 4 out of 10 runs.

One of the worst things for me is when I look at the results and at the bottom see people who have DNF'ed all their runs. Particularly when I did a run in his car after one DNF, then instructed for his next run (another DNF), then another instructor run by someone else, followed by another DNF.

It's why each driver deserves full attention, and as much instruction as they need. We want people to come back.

Plus instructor runs make our events safer for drivers and workers.

"Make it safe, make it fun"
