Miramar Speed Circuit for gas karts:

K1 Speed for electric karts (Carlsbad):

Both are fun. You can do a little more sliding around at Miramar but you'll smell like gas afterwards. I don't know of any outdoor rentals in the area unless you're willing to venture out of the county.

What is F440?

I suggest scrapping indoor karting and going to Perris for their 2-stroke rentals. www.apexracing.com

A F440 is a small 440cc formula car. It looks like this:

They had them back in Vancouver.

You'll only smell like gas if you idle in one spot....get stuck against the wall...........or go really slow....i mean, really really slow :D

The San Diego Karting Association races at Qualcomm once a month. www.sdka.com.

Very tempting.

Is there an expiration for when you can go? (From looking at this, I'm assuming it's passes to bring on site)

Edit:
Answered my own question. Expires in September.

So far, they haven't been restricting the use on the special nights like 20 minute tuesdays, king of the track wednesdays or sprint night thursdays. They may have updated the restrictions last time I heard.

I think its done, but there is no dilemma for me. Worth the 23 dollars for two-for-tuesday 20 minutes of seat time. 8 for 10 minutes is very much worth it.
