Anyone know of a good one?
I want to fiddle w/adj. cam gears and race gas, so I'll need a dyno and a guy that knows how to use it along w/knowing Electromotive engine management - any ideas?
TIA

Call Performance Efi (http://www.performanceefi.com/index.html) out on Miramar Road.

Or you might try AEBS (out on Miramar as well). They have a dyno and do good drag cars.
But I don't know if they are familiar with Electromotive engine management.
While on the subject of local dyno testers ( but slightly off the original subject ), can anyone shed any light on the huge discrepancy between the 2 dyno tuning results in the following test?
http://www.tprmag.com/issue/10/10_b16_headers.shtml
Click on any pair of tests of nominally the same setup over to the right (a test set 01 & 02) and you get a completely non-sensical comparison. The vtec switchover points don't even match up. Also, one of the dynos show marked improvement with some of the headers, while the other one hardly show any change.
Waz up?

It was done at Pann auto, that's the problem.
Try AEBS for sure for tuning although I think they're more on the engine building side. Still they'll at least know exactly who to send you to to get it done right.
2nd performance EFI. Derrick is a good guy, and knowledgeable.
Depending on where you're coming from, there's Dose BMW Service in El Cajon, who specializes in Electromotive systems.
They're primarily a BMW service place but the owner, Steve Dose, does dyno tuning in the back for a lot of sand rails and competition cars. I wonder if there's still rubber stuck to the ceiling from when a twin turbo M5 engined sandrail (with some ridiculous amount of power) liquified its tires on the dyno there...
Here's the link:

Good luck.
