I just received this from BMW club,
Hello Autocrossers:
A quick update on the upcoming Autocross on Sunday August 9th…
We have decided to open up more spots for non-BMWs. There was more interest from drivers with other interesting cars after all 10 spots filled, so for this event, we have adjusted openings to 20 for non-BMWs. If you tried to register online for your non-BMW, you can now go back to http://sdbmwcca.motorsportreg.com and grab one of the ten additional spots. If you want to autocross your BMW and haven’t registered yet, do it now since those spots have been reduced from 90 to 80.
ONLINE REGISTRATION CLOSES THIS SATURDAY AUG 9 OR WHEN ALL SPOTS ARE FILLED.
Also, another very interesting Autocross is coming up a week later on August 16, presented by the LA Chapter. They are offering an event at the Streets of Willow, the small road course adjacent to Willow Springs. It is still an autocross, with cones to moderate speeds and add challenge, and convertibles ARE allowed (unlike at a Driving School at the track).
