To qualify now for local meets, a driver must already be a member of the SCCA.

Yeah I thought so too.

Although there aren't too many stories written about us at the Q perhaps the region should consider putting a press packet together.

Yeah, but that's good misinformation. Its not going to stop people from coming and checking it out, but you can quickly get in trouble if the article said "all you need is a driver's licence".

Many drivers competing in more than one class? And, because she clipped a cone, Leslie finished in the Street Touring Sport class?

Goodness, this guy got more facts wrong than he got right. I've found journalism to be highly inaccurate whenever I know about the subject in question. When journalists can't come close to getting local stories right, it makes me wonder how wrong their articles about international news, business and politics are.
