In the rulebook for the Prepared category section, 17.10.C.3, it says
Only air-to-air intercoolers may be used. They must fit completely
within the bodywork. They must be cooled only by the
atmosphere. The use of coolants such as water, dry ice, ice,
etc. is prohibited.
In a list of examples for X Prepared vehicles in Appendex A, they list the 03-04 Cobra's. These Cobra's came with air-to-water intercoolers from Ford. If the vehicle comes with a stock air-to-water cooler...is that still illegal for the Prepared class? If it isn't illegal, can modifications be made to the intercooling system?
Also, are all turbo/supercharged engines restricted to a 52mm opening in the intake?
