Thanks, frosty!

Gee, I go underground for six months, the board changes out from under me, and I'm a complete newb again....

Just for my own sanity, was there a link to it somewhere on the forums that I missed? Or does everybody just know where to find these things? (Once upon a time, I used to, but it looks like I forgot...) :(

The Matrix shifted while you were away. Some of the links never made it back.

Damn. I knew I'd seen that exact same cat before.

Just don't be caught looking over a centerfold of the woman in red.

ALL:

The very bottom, where it says "Official Region Site SDR-SCCA".

Select that and you find a Schedule. Results. Clubs and more.

What was the deal with them on Sunday - as in, I didn't see but one, down at the very end of the paddock?

The Porta Potties are the responsibility (as I understand it) of the Stadium and something went wrong. I don't think this is something that a club normally worries about.

Correct. Since Michael noticed it I imagine he will say something to the stadium people.

Other than the above mentioned relief station issues, nice event TART. Although that chicane area or what ever you call it (the sea of chevron turns) was pretty challenging. I had just a bit much understeer for this area and overused the fronts. Thanks for your hard work.

Glad to hear Michael's on 'top of it'. It's a crappy job, but someone's gotta do it. :p

Hey, I resemble that remark.....ummm...oops!

I went by security 1st thing after I noticed there was no relief in sight. They said that they knew about it Friday night, but that it was too late to get anyone out to fix the problem.

I'll ask them nicely to make sure it does not happen again.

Glad most people enjoyed it.

I felt like a one armed paper hanger dealing with all the folks wanting green cards, points cards, number cards - whatever we call them in SDR - but a smile and quick explanation usually managed to satisify the participant.

There were a couple of guys that did walk away due to the overall price (not including SCCA membership) but hey the card is good for a year.

One more job I know how to do now to keep the events running smoothly:)

We even had two TART guys who had been away for a while show up. Welcome back guys!

The rain held off, event ran smoothly, and plenty of fun runs.

Now if I could just cut some time on course ....:D

It's always extra difficult to set up in the wet. Well done TART.

A fun course, a well run event, with fun runs.

What more can we ask for?

Oh, you must've been one of those guys that ran after the first run group.:p

I had a blast on my very first real AutoX event. Thanks everyone.:D

What did you mean by this comment. It didn’t rain just before or during the 1st run group. I saw a couple of people get loose on their 1st runs but the course seemed to dry out and things seemed to go well after that! If you were on street tires anticipating rain I’m sure those wet spots got your attention. I may have missed a lot of excitement as I was getting ready for tech and was not watching the whole run group. Or were you referring to other matters?

I was working reg. & did not get to watch any of 1,2,3 . I think there was some residual water on course from the night's rain that was pretty much gone after 1st group. Something went on near the finish there was a turn that gave some people trouble at first but it seemed fine when I ran 5th.
And maybe a "sun shower" that didn't last but a few moments.

As the weather gals say I don't think there was "measurable precipitation"

:)

I was just messing around for the most part. I got rained on on my way down to the Q at 7:30 right around the 163 connector, and did get sprinkled on at 8:30 right when I was finishing up tech. But yeah, there was no real rain, just that the first two runs in the first group were a little more slick than the rest of the day. I know my tires were just wet enough to contribute to a 4 cone murder slide on that second hard right during my third run. But I did get a little greedy.;) I honestly wish it would've rained all day. It's fun to see all of you Corvette boys sliding around. :p

You can watch my runs on a sunny day if you like Vettes sliding around, but I'm working on that.

I take it that I could be expecting the results to be uploaded here like the previous event? or does TART do things differently..

This was my second event, I was glad to see that I was finally consistant (although slow). enjoyed how TART hosted the event..

cheers

Bah. It was raining when I woke up, so I decided not to go. But when I woke up again a few hours later, it was sunny and dry. *kicks self*

Oh well, at least I got my number. I'll be there next time.

Yes, they do things differently and results will be done by hand and then uploaded when they are done.

I'd like to note that not all the run times made it to the boards on the day of the event (including my best time). Just saying; I'm not worried since I hear there is this audit thing that makes sure the points go to those who deserve.

All,
I've been sick and I haven't completed the results in the computerized form yet. I'll publish them soon.
If you just have to know, feel free to contact me.
At TART we try very hard to put on a quality event, we hope you noticed.
It was a great event, 200 entries, and thanks for attending.

Thanks to TART for a great course, making good use of the lot, a very smoothly run event, and great use of the available sunshine by running fun runs as long as practical. A model event for other clubs to aspire to.
