It did not favor HP cars (look at the top pax cars, with the exception of mine these are not HP cars)... I could only put my foot to the floor in three spots and only for a little bit... It was a don't brake and hope you have the right line course for sure...
FYI I turned the boost down on the car after my Thursday practice and have not turned it back up since (and probably won't till I go to Wendover) and it is making about 310 to the wheels now (was 412)... The car is easier to drive and easier on all of the parts....

People often think a fast course means a horsepower course.
Nope... horsepower helps you accelerate out of turns. Cars with more torque like sharper turns and then straights, followed by more sharper turns and then straights.
Courses that are more flowing and wide open favor cars that can carry their speed more. Throw in a lot of slaloms and gates (like this one) and then you have a course that favors cars that can carry speed, are narrower, and can transition fast.
Though more horsepower would not be a bad thing... my car I also struggled with too much power. I have a dual map with a street tune, I might try autocrossing it with 300whp someday.
