I want to upgrade the audio system, speakers, etc in my S2000. Anyone have any recommendations? Prefer the east county area, but will travel anywhere in San Diego county on a strong recommendation.
La Jolla Audio is a good shop, but they will charge you top dollar. Donald over there has worked on a couple of my non-auto/x race cars. They service alot of repeat european and japanese high end vehicles, most of the clients are grownups...ie. you only get to order one subwoofer and they will not try and sell you neon lights for your amp rack. All the work they have done was very clean and professional, and most importantly did not result in any noise from poor grounding or wire layout that is common with hack shops or big chain store installs.

What's considered top dollar? After installing my sub and amp, I am going to reconsider next time. Too much of a pain-in-my-***holes.
Top dollar would be - If you want a high end custom sub box, a clean sounding amp (not the stuff you find at best buy or circuit city, and a decent set of front speakers, and alpine head unit with ipod controller plan on spending at least $3-5K.
