To All those that attended and worked the Wavier Gate a "BIG THANK YOU" to everyone. All the help is greatly appreciated, those of us that manned the Wavier Gate not only saw but were able to speak with alot of the drivers and visitors and see up close what they were driving. For those that allowed the Licata's a break now and then a "Special Thank You" It made our long days enjoyable.
A big "THANK YOU "from the Chief of Waviers: Steve & Kit Licata

Kit, you beat me to it. I'll type faster next time, I promise.
I would like to offer my sincere thanks to everyone that pitched in to make this year’s tour a success. We had several region members working behind the scenes, and the event would not have been “uneventful” without their efforts. In particular, I’d like to shine the spotlight on a few folks that really made a difference.
To Kit and Steve Licata, Dalene Cram, and the SCAT members for making sure the entry gate was covered for the entire event. Kit, Steve, and Dalene didn’t even compete in the event, but they sat at the gate in person for several hours. Steve also found time to make a run or two to Cosco when we ran out of water and flour for the course.
To Jayson Woodruff and his crew of SCNAX members for setting up and running the test & tune. When we learned that the SCCA Cone Clinic was cancelled, they volunteered to start the Test & Tune two hours earlier than planned. It ran very smoothly, and folks had all the runs they had tires for. This year’s test & tune collected a record $$.
To Larry Houghton and his crew of SDAD members for setting up and running tech for the event. There were never more than a few cars in line there, and they split up the duties so that the cars, helmets, stickers, etc. were all handled in parallel.
To Marco Vazquez and his team at registration. They handled the long line at registration in a little over an hour, and had time to get some food and walk the course before the parking lot lights even turned on.
To Terri Mayo for organizing the welcome party. (It was kinda fun watching her get Jeff Cawthorn to put table cloths on the tables…we know who the boss is!!)
To Carl Miller for designing and setting up the course. Handling the tour course design is always a challenge as the designs have to be submitted to SCCA about 2 months in advance of the event, but then changed on the spot due to asphalt breakup. Thanks also to the folks that lined the course and marked and numbered the cones. That literally took hours.
To Warren Leach for taking care of everything north of the spectator line. Warren did everything from checking in workers, spreading cones and flags, marking boxes, ensuring that workers were stationed at the busy areas of the course (and working the course himself when needed).
To Derek Punch for ensuring that the grid workers knew what they were doing and that the flow of cars to the start line remained unimpeded.
To Craig Naylor for making sure the impound workers knew what they were doing.
To Barbara Boehme and Bob Tomlinson for working as safety stewards. We didn’t have a single incident to document for the entire weekend thanks to their diligence.
To Bob Beamesderfer for acting as assistant operating steward. Bob was all over the lot making sure that things were flowing smoothly.
To Larry Chan and Jeff Lonsdale for just being themselves. They were not assigned any special assignments for the event, but they were busy non-stop ensuring that the paddock was well marked, the trash cans emptied, the porta-potties had toilet paper, the relay speakers were working, the equipment all remained accounted for and packed up at the end of the event. And since a particular person messed up by not getting them on the exempt workers list, they even worked during their normal assigned work group. (sorry about that!!:()
Thanks too to Rick Perry for hauling the trailer to and from the event.

All of the above, plus
Thanks to Michael Contour for chairing the event. Not an easy task.
Jason Uyeda for stuff.
And the SCCA staff who all did a great job.
And of course, thanks to event sponsors like Bridgestone, Pace, SPS, C2.
oh... and apologies to the course workers for my first run. I don't know what happened.

Thanks go out to Jason Uyeda and Brian Robertson, along to the National staff for their guidance.
Thanks also to the competitors, and there were very few, who handled the bad news I bore with sportsmanlike grace.
