I have a 97 Volkswagen GTI VR6

Mods:
17 inch rims (up from 15 inch)
215/40/17 tires
Coilovers on all 4 corners
Front and Rear Sway Bars
Stage 1 Clutch
Limited Slip Differential
Short Ram Intake
ECU chip (advances the timing)
Cross Drilled Rotors and upgrades pads

So what class does that put me in?

Anyways I am planning on running my first event on Feb 19.
Besides getting there early, any other good tips for my first event.

If your tires have a threadwear rating of >140, your car is classed in STX. If the threadwear rating is <140, DSP.

Clutch bumps out of ST classes. but locally, so long as you're not winning you should be okay.

If the LSD is a factory VISCUS (as oppose to torsen or anything aftermarket), and the tires are 225width or under (and >140 treadwear) he should be good for STS.

any other good tips for my first event.Don't expect to be fast. Concentrate on reading the course, you can't be fast until you know where to go. Fill the tires to 45psi before arriving (you might bleed them down a little to race though), and bleed them down to street pressures before leaving. Leave all unnessary crap at home.

The LSD is not stock... I installed it not to long ago.. Does that change anything?

Clutches are allowed to be upgraded in STX, so are LSD's, though I think there is a limit to what type, I'll look it up.

Here we go:

5. Only standard (as defined in Section 12.4) limited slip differentials
(LSD) are allowed on AWD vehicles. For AWD vehicles
that did not come with any type of limited slip differential
(including center differential or transfer case), a single aftermarket
LSD may be added. 2WD vehicles may use any LSD
unit.

and it does appear that changing the clutch/flywheel sticks you in DSP.
