I have an RKR hand tire machine for sale, including the bubble balancer and some wheel weights. This machine is for mounting and unmounting tires in your garage. Mine is lightly used and I will sell it for $300. The changer and balancer sell for $625 new from RKR. Here's a link for the item: http://www.rogerkrausracing.com/RKR/tiremachine.shtml

let me know if the deal doesn't go down. I am interested. Will it work with motorcycle wheels and tires too?

Try doing 30 series 18" tires on this machine and you'll see why he's having me mount and balance his tires:)
good machine and great workout too!

Well said Steve. I was going to explain that but I figured, K.I.S.S.
This machine is ideal for someone mounting tall sidewalls, such as a 275/40/17 or a 225/50/15. It can be pretty easy to mount those sort of tires. 17" and under is good for this machine. 18" is pushing it. And my 235/35/19 front tires on the current a/x machine would take an "artist" to mount them using the RKR machine.
I drilled bolt anchors in my garage floor so I could securely mount the RKR machine to the floor, but unscrew it and free up the garage space when I was done with it. That worked very well.

This item is back for sale. There's nothing wrong with it at all - it works great for wheels up to 18" in diameter. Unfortunately it can't quite handle the 19" rear wheels of my Viper without some modification.
The Honda S2000 wheel with R-compound tire I used for practice a few times was a total piece of cake, if I had a car with sanely sized wheels/tires, this would be an indispensible tool.
Ted had it bolted into his garage's concrete floor; I bought a big sheet of plywood and attached it there, but still have the concete bolts. Since it's been outside in the backyard since I got it, the center shaft is showing a bit of rust, but that doesn't really affect its operation.
Asking $300 again, which includes the plywood. :) For that price I'll deliver it somewhere in SD - if you pick it up, $260.
Thanks!
Jason

Back up for sale again. Item is just as Jason described it. After doing a couple tires on it I determined I didn't want to use it for my 285/30/18s. Still has the plywood. I've kept the parts in my garage and the unit under a plastic bag outside since I bought it, so it's no worse for wear.
Same price Jason was asking above: $300 delivered to SD, $260 picked up in Encinitas.
Thanks!

Wimp! I have one and change my 285/30-18's all the time. No fun, that's for sure, but beats paying someone to damage my wheels for me....

And sold again! Thanks!
DAMNIT!
I leave the computer to spend time with family and miss something good...
AND it's one of the rare weekends I'm in San Diego...
Morgan doesn't need the machine.... the dude is buff enough already!
Now I have to wait until it's up for sale AGAIN. How many times has this thing switched hands? 2-3 times?

Haha, Morgan is NOT going to sell it, he and his brother and dad all can now mount tires in their garage for all of the Porsches....they are VERY happy with it!

This thread is never going to die.
Morgan should hurry up and get fed up/angry/mad at the RKR machine and sell the machine here so I can get fed up/angry/mad at the RKR to sell here to someone else.

Would whoever the current owner is be willing to mount some tires for me? Getting my tires mounted would make major headway to me participating in the next two events...
