Hi guys

I haven't been able to come to the races lately and take pictures, I was so busy with school, but I hope to attend the next ones again...

Maybe the organizer of the events can help me out with some answers. For my marketing planning class, we have to write - of course - a marketing plan. Since I really like Auto-X and we don't have this sport back home in Switzerland, I came up with the idea to write a marketing plan for a possible Auto-X organizer there. Now, I found a lot of information on Swiss accident numbers, possible locations etc - but what I don't have are any $-numbers about how much such an event costs... What I'm really interested in is how much a location like Qualcomm charges for one day or a weekend, how much the insurance payments are and what type of insurance is being used, or just any information about organizing the events, practices etc.

Of course I understand if these numbers can't be published here, so a message or email would be just fine, too. If somebody wants to talk about this over by a beer or a coke, I'm more than willing to treat you... :)

Please let me know, if you can help me out with my project. If anybody is interested, I'll also upload my plan here later (mid-December).

Well, you're right, we should not be posting financials here.

A marketing plan for autocross as a real business would not "look pretty." The only entity that tried it that I am aware of failed before the first year was over. It was "Pro"-something, if I recall correctly.

But, PM me with a phone number and I'll see if I can answer some of your questions.
