hello all, I was just wondering if i could help out at the next qualcomm event and get to know how autocross works. Im interested in racing but i dont own a car (i only have my truck) yet. i just want to check it out be for i decide to buy and set up a car.

Hey Grant,

Welcome aboard! The next event is a championship event so you won't be able to ride along unfortunately during the competition runs. However, I am sure we can use your help. If you decide to stick around, we might have FUN RUNS and at that point you'll be able to ride along and become better aquainted with this addictive sport. Nonetheless, I am only one of many people at an event that would love to introduce you to the fun of autocross. So seek me or anyone out and have a blast! I drive in the 5th run group in a 94 black Miata #612. See you on the 4th!

Look for me at registration. My name is Warren. I run in the morning so I will be busy some of that time. I can give you a ride when I do my 'x' runs in the afternoon.

I will answer any questions you might have.

i got a 89 nissan hardbody 4cyl 5 speed. if i do drive i need a helmet right? i have a motocross helment (snell aproved) will that work?

So long as it's 2wd and not raised your good to go. When I first started there was a serious hardbody running in LA, I think he even took an FSP trophy (win?) at a national event.

Snell M95 or better.

Race the truck! I used to have a Nissan Hardbody(86 or 87), infact that was my first vehicle/hand-me down. I will be at the event on Sunday Nov. 4th, car # 423.
