I am in Surfer's Paradise on the Gold Coast of Australia. Full pit passes, hung around today with the Champ Cars and V8 Supercars. Pretty cool. This is really absolutely nuts. A major party, one of the biggest in all of Australia.

The V8Ute racing series has dictated that all drivers will use ChaseCam recording systems and it looks like we are going to get the same thing from the V8 Supercars (their main racing series) plus some discussions with Porsche motorsports.

Don't come to this race if boobs and beer offend you. Totally off the hook. There is a party of 300,000 people with a race happening in the background.

I am in Surfer's Paradise on the Gold Coast of Australia.

I was there for the end of July and most of August when there was no racing :( and much less boob :mad: !

I am back. Crazy plane ride back on Qantas. Ended up taking 32 hours total and included Qantas renting me a car to drive back from LAX to San Diego. :eek:

The race in Australia was amazing really. Quite a spectacle. We had full access pit passes that got us into everywhere. We were invited to watch the races from the control tower. We rode with the race drivers on their bus to and from the track. Hung out in the pits, trying to not be in the way.

Surfer's Paradise is a pretty cool place and this is a pretty cool event. I recommend going.

Looks like we are the new recording system for Porsche Motorsports' Carerra Cup cars in Australia and New Zealand. Yay.
