Please check where you ended up because I will not be calling you if you did not get your first choice and the AM groups were much more popular and filled up fast so plenty of people requesting AM groups flowed into the PM groups.
*** ALSO *** it would be a great idea to check the list again the night before the event especially if you got bumped to the PM because as people cancel, some will get put into the AM.

The practice has filled, and there are 5 on the wait list

***** please check out my post as of 6:41PM Friday for a last minute change (not shown in list below) *******

Group D? Sheesh, that's what I get for forgetting to mail in the form right away!

At least you're leaving registration open until 11:30 so I can sleep in a while. Will tech inspection be open until then too?

Have someone on the phone at the wedding and when they announce, 'If anyone believes that these two should not wed, speak now,' and then he puts you on speaker phone and your like, 'I needed more seat time, so you're going to have to postpone this S#@%'

I'm sure they'll understand.

Just out of curiosity, how many runs do you typically get at a practice event?

Depends on the format. Less people = more runs, but typically more $. For 100 entrants, I'd guess 8 to 10.

Hi. I don't have a SD Solo card yet, as I haven't been to an event in the region. However, I would like to run in this practice, so I am mailing out the form and check today. If i don't get in, I understand, but it would be great if I do! :)
Thanks.

Just get there early to deal with the paperwork stuff (SD Solo card, etc) and since the morning sessions are full, "early" in this case means <10AM

Although... (especially for novices) you want to be very familiar with the course so...
1) walk the course many times including before the first runs which start at 9AM and
2) it would be a good idea to bum a few ride-alongs with people running in the morning sessions
in addition to getting all your paperwork settled and tech'ing your car, etc.
So I'd recommend getting there no later than ~8:15

...and there are 6 on the wait list (see 1st entry in this thread)
There are always some last minute cancellations and even a few that just don't show up, so it is still possible you can get in, but the chances are getting smaller.

Final update... a few shifts and there are now 7 on the wait list (see 1st entry in this thread). Please check to make sure you know which group you are running in.
Also, any entries I receive today will NOT be posted here, but WILL be added to the end of the wait list.

HOW THE WAIT LIST WILL WORK
As it indicates on the flyer, at 8:40 anyone signed up for a morning group (11:30 for an afternoon group) that has not registered will FORFEIT their spot, so DON'T BE LATE! At that time, I will start calling off names from the top of the wait list and registering you as you are called off the wait list. So if you are on the wait list:
1) get their early and have your car prepped and ready to go.
2) be at the registration table just before 8:40
3) have a registration card filled out (except for the run/work group)
4) if your name is called, you are in...
- register, sign up for a worker position & quickly "tech" your car; then either go to grid or sign in for your work assignment.

One other note: if you are signed up for an afternoon session, please wait until after the morning run group is all taken care of BEFORE you register since things can get a little hectic around the 8:40 cutoff time, thank you.

See you there,
Bruce

Bruce,

In case you don't check your PM, our car will not be able to run on Saturday, we broke some parts that the fab shop could not get done by today, so please remove 886 and 885 from the list of attendess and tear up our checks. Sorry for the late notice, we thought the first solution to the problem would work, but had to go back to the drawing board.

VMAN....

Around what time are the AM and PM novice walks? I'll be in run group C, but would like to walk the course in the AM as well to familiarize myself with the layout of the track.

I'm working as hard as I can but here's where I'm at right now...

An extra few hours might make a big difference on me having my car together.

Alex,
You are now in the 4th group (D) and Stephanie B. finally has gotten her desired morning group (B).

Other changes, the 2 Mouratoff's canceled, so
#619=Rion P. => group C &
#TBD=John Cr => group D
are now in and the wait list is down to 5.
